If you've had your eye on a new car, now is the time to pull the trigger and buy one. And if you're looking for a new, high-quality vehicle, look no further than the New 2020 Hyundai Elantra. If you thought Hyundai was all about the SUVs, you're mistaken. The new Hyundai Elantra is one of the best compact cars on the market. If you're curious about this car, read on, and we'll tell you everything you need to know about the new 2020 Hyundai Elantra.

The Basics
The 2020 Hyundai Elantra has a lot of features, some of which vary based on the model. But before we get into the specifics, you should know all the basics first. The Elantra is in the compact car class, the same class as cars such as the Honda Civic and Hyundai Veloster. The vehicle seats 5 and has a front-wheel-drive drivetrain.  The base engine on the Elantra is a 147-horsepower, 2.0-liter four-cylinder that now comes standard with a new continuously variable automatic transmission. In 2020, the Elantra no longer has a manual transmission option. The continuously variable transmission makes the Hyundai Elantra one of the most fuel-efficient vehicles in the compact car class.

The Features
If you're looking at compact cars, you probably already have an idea of what you want in the basics. What separates a car from its peers are the features, especially when it comes to technology. Lucky for you, the Hyundai Elantra has plenty of those. As with most cars nowadays, all Elantra's come standard with Bluetooth connectivity for smartphones. In addition, a five-inch display and six-speaker sound system are standard features. Additional features that are not available standard with every model include a 7-inch or an 8-inch touch screen, as well as wireless device charging. An eight-speaker Infinity premium stereo is also available if you're really looking to up your music game.

Your 2020 Hyundai Elantra Available Trims
The Hyundai Elantra has six available trims in 2020, and they all have some valuable differences.

The base model is the SE Trim, which includes the base engine as well as all of the basic features such as Bluetooth connectivity, lane-keeping assist, and a rearview monitor.

The SEL is very similar to the SE, but includes a few additional features. The most notable additional feature is the 7-inch touch screen display for navigation, music, and more.

The Value Edition Trim is where the features really start to take off. If you're looking for some extra luxury without a lot of extra money, this is the trim to go with. In addition to all the features included in the SEL, the Value Edition includes hands-free trunk release, a proximity key with a push-button start, and heated front seats. The most notable external feature is the inclusion of power tilt and slide sunroof, so you can enjoy those sunny days.

The Eco Trim is the eco-friendly model of the 2020 Hyundai Elantra. Instead of the standard 147-horsepower, 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine, the Eco has a 128-hp 1.4L turbocharged GDI 4-cylinder engine. This engine will get you 36 MPG Combined, 33 City/41 Hwy as opposed to 34 MPG Combined, 30 City/40 Hwy with the other trims. Other features of the eco trim include a 7-speed Dual Clutch Transmission with SHIFTRONIC®, 15-inch eco alloy wheels, LED daytime running lights, and idle stop & go.

The Limited Trim is the luxury version of the Hyundai Elantra. It includes all the features from the value edition trim, along with a whole lot more. The Limited trim includes leather seating surfaces, wireless device charging, and 17-inch alloy wheels. It also includes the premium Infinity audio system we had mentioned earlier. At night you'll be driving in style with full LED headlights and taillights, as well as high beam assistance.

The Sport Trim. As you can probably guess from the name, is the high-performance option. But this trim also includes plenty of interior features. The biggest difference with this trim is the upgraded engine. The Sport boasts a 201-hp 1.6L turbocharged GDI 4-cylinder engine and includes a 7-speed Dual Clutch Transmission with SHIFTRONIC®. Other performance upgrades include 18-inch alloy wheels and a multi-link independent rear suspension. Inside, the Sport trim includes many of the features from the Limited trim, such as leather seats and dual USB charging. With the premium package, you also get the 8-inch touchscreen display and Infinity® Premium Audio with 8 speakers.
